Welcome to Mother St. Bride School

I am Lori Schlueting, the proud principal of Mother St. Bride School. As we begin a new school year, I am inspired by the legacy of our namesake, Sister St. Bride — born Mary Catherine Watters — who taught right here in North Bay. In 1952, she was elected Mother General of her congregation, and during her 10 years of service, she earned the title of "Builder" for her vision, dedication, and commitment to education. Her story reminds us of the power of leadership, perseverance, and faith in shaping lives and communities.

At Mother St. Bride School, Catholic education is at the heart of everything we do. Guided by the Gospel, we strive to create an inclusive, welcoming community where all students feel a sense of belonging and are encouraged to discover and develop their God-given gifts. Our mission is to help every learner grow spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally, so they may become compassionate and engaged citizens of the world.

This year, our staff will continue to guide students in taking thoughtful risks, asking meaningful questions, and embracing challenges as opportunities to learn. We know that strong relationships between home, school, parish, and community are key to student success, and we invite you to partner with us through volunteering, participating in events, and sharing your voice in our Catholic School Advisory Council.

As Mother St. Bride's life reminds us, we are all called to be "builders" — of knowledge, of faith, of kindness, and of community. Let's work together to make this a year of meaningful learning, joyful memories, and growth for all.

Blessings for a wonderful school year,

Lori Schlueting
Principal
